INFORMATION · PRIVACY

Privacy Policy.

Effective 18 September 2026 · A clear account of how Cazelin handles information.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to visits to Cazelin pages, use of the local Folio feature, interaction with search controls and outbound links to hotels, map providers or other third-party services. It does not govern a hotel or booking provider after the visitor leaves Cazelin.

2. Information processed automatically

Web servers, content-delivery, security and measurement services may receive technical information required to deliver and protect the website. This may include IP address, approximate location derived from an IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, language, requested URL, referring page, date and time, response status and basic interaction events.

This information may be used to operate pages, identify technical failures, prevent abuse, measure aggregate audience behaviour and improve page performance. Cazelin does not use the hotel discovery interface to request passport information, payment-card details or reservation documents.

3. Search information

Destination, date and guest choices entered into a Cazelin search may be processed in the browser to present relevant pages or pass the chosen context to an external hotel website. Search controls do not create a reservation and should not be used to submit sensitive personal information.

4. Your local Folio

The Folio feature stores a small list of selected hotel identifiers, names and page links in local browser storage on the visitor’s own device. It is not a registered account and is not intended to identify a person. Folio items can be removed individually through the interface or cleared through browser site-data settings.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Essential storage may be used for website operation and preferences. Analytics or advertising measurement technologies may be used where enabled and permitted by applicable requirements. Their exact availability can depend on deployment, consent configuration and visitor location. Browser settings can restrict cookies, remove stored data or block some measurement scripts, although this may affect certain functions.

6. External hotel, map and booking services

Cazelin links to independent websites so visitors can verify current information or continue towards a reservation. Those services may collect account, contact, payment, travel and device information under their own notices. Cazelin does not control their forms, prices, cookies, security, retention periods or customer-service processes.

7. Purposes and legal grounds

Where applicable law requires a legal ground, technical information may be processed to provide the requested website, protect legitimate operational and security interests, comply with legal obligations or act on consent for optional measurement technologies. Consent can be withdrawn through the relevant consent control when one is provided.

8. Service providers and disclosure

Limited technical information may be processed by providers supporting hosting, content delivery, security, diagnostics, analytics and website maintenance. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce rights, investigate misuse or protect visitors and the service. Cazelin does not sell a Folio list as personal profile data.

9. International processing

Infrastructure and third-party links may involve processing in more than one country. Where required, service providers should use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.

10. Retention

Technical logs and measurement records should be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for delivery, security, troubleshooting, aggregate analysis and legal compliance. Local Folio information remains on the visitor’s device until removed by the visitor or browser.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on location and applicable law, rights may include requesting access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent. Browser controls can remove local storage and restrict cookies at any time. Rights may be limited where information cannot reasonably be linked to an identifiable visitor or must be retained for security or legal reasons.

12. Children

Cazelin is a general hotel discovery publication and is not directed to children. The site does not knowingly request children to create profiles or submit booking and payment information.

13. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards may be used to reduce risks such as unauthorised access, alteration or loss. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and visitors should use care when following external links or sharing information with third parties.

14. Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised when website functions, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current published version. Material changes may also be highlighted on the website where appropriate.
